My name is Kelly Harrington and my husband is Rich Harrington. Together we are K Bar R Farrier Service.
We are professional Farriers with over 12 years experience. Soundness is our number one priority, so whatever your horse or pony does, we want him to do it well for many, many years. We want your partner to be comfortable for his or her whole life. The classic quote is "no hoof, no horse". This is very true and the basis of our work. All horses need to have a good foot, Even the retired ones!
Shoeing horses full-time enables us to provide you with Exceptional service and Top Quality work. We do quite a few different breeds and disciplines, mainly Quarter Horses, Dressage Horses, Arabians, and Half-Arabs. Our specialties include Western Pleasure, Dressage, and Reiners. We are very experienced with plates and shoe both AQHA and NRHA winners. Our Arab clients have multiple Regional and National Champions.
We are also happy to care for your trail buddy or retired friend. We are completely comfortable with soreness in the elderly animal and are happy to do minis and mini donkeys, as we breed registered mini-mules....we currently do over 40 minis.
We have a good working relationship with area vets and collaborate with them on lameness issues. Many times we have been called by area vets to farms once a problem has been found. We are familiar with corrective shoeing for multiple problems, not limited to Navicular and Laminitis (founder).We can and will help you any way we can. Xrays are welcome and we can read them with your veterinarian.
